About the Bal Harbour Police Legacy Foundation
The Bal Harbour Police Legacy Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, was established in 2018 in memory of late Chiefs Mark N. Overton and Miguel “Mike” De La Rosa. Chiefs Overton and De La Rosa dedicated their lives to fostering positive police-community relations, aiming to make a significant impact on children and families within the greater Miami-Dade community.
Our foundation was created to support inter-city families, providing assistance during times of hardship while promoting a pro-police, positive relationship with the community. We proudly host various initiatives, including a Back to School Drive, a holiday toy drive, and a Thanksgiving food drive. Additionally, we have recently launched our first annual Community Heroes Fundraiser to further engage and support our community.
